About Nico

Hello! My name is Nico Bishop, founder of Flower Power Acupuncture. As a Certified Licensed Acupuncturist, Master Reiki Practitioner and Soul Healer, I integrate energy healing and the five branches of Chinese Medicine - acupuncture, herbal medicine, medical massage, nutritional therapies and Qi gong. In my integrated practice of soul-mind-body medicine, I combine classical acupuncture, energetic techniques, together with a soothing hands on approach rarely used by acupuncturists for healing and rejuvenation.

My Healing Arts Background

My knowledge of Chinese healing arts goes back to early childhood experiences of community folk medicine practiced by my uncle’s medicine man and neighbor’s medicine woman in my native Taiwan. Thanks to my mother’s lessons at the kitchen table, I developed an early appreciation of the importance of diet and nutrition for good health. Professionally, I have studied and practiced holistic healing modalities and techniques in Taiwan, India, China and the United States. After moving to the San Francisco Bay Area in 2008, I graduated with a Master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine and am grateful for the gifted tuition of world-class acupuncturists and Chinese Medicine Master Herbalists such as Dr.Rong Xiu Zeng and Dr Huang Huang. In addition to many marvelous medical mentors, I owe a great debt of thanks to my spiritual teachers, Buddhist, and Taoist Masters who have demonstrated in countless ways the true nature of wisdom, healing and compassion.

Your Healing Journey

My passion now is in helping people heal the psychic and emotional root of pain and disease, acute and chronic conditions. I see many people very interested in finding spirit within the healing process. I am especially grateful to my clients who teach me time and again how to look at life’s mysteries, how to accept that the unusual is commonly the norm in medicine, and how to reflect more deeply into my own life to assist others in theirs. Most significantly, my clients have taught me humility. How so? Because it has been proved to me time and time again, that the person who can help you heal the most is you. It is truly my honor to assist and facilitate your path towards personal empowerment, health and happiness.
