FULL PAYMENT IS DUE AT TIME OF SERVICE

Financial Policies

Payment Methods Accepted: Cash, Check, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express are accepted.
Returned Checks: Each returned check will incur a handling fee of $30.
Cancellations or Missed Appointments: We require a notice of 48 hours if you need to cancel an appointment, or you will be billed at the rate of $25 for your missed appointment. The credit card on file will be charged at the time of cancellation (within 48 hours) or a missed appointment.
Late Arrivals: If you arrive late for your appointment, you will be charged in full and may have less time for your appointment. Patients arriving considerably late (that is, 20 minutes or more for a scheduled appointment) may have their appointment canceled and will need to reschedule. In this case, a cancellation fee, as described above, may apply.

Insurance Billing

- Flower Power Acupuncture does not courtesy bill or accept insurance.
- A superbill will be provided upon request to patients who wish to submit a claim to their insurance company. However, Flower Power Acupuncture does not guarantee reimbursement, which is dependent on the patient's individual plan and policy.
- Superbills may only be given after the visit and treatment is completed, whether or not the visit has been paid for prior. Please allow up to 24 hours for completion of forms.

If you have a Health Savings Account: Acupuncture treatment is allowable under all HSA’s. You will need to check with your specific HSA to find out if herbal medicine prescribed by a health professional is an allowable expense.
If Your Health Insurance Policy Covers Acupuncture: We are not in-network providers for any insurance company and do not do insurance billing. At your request, we will provide you a superbill/receipt form which contains all the procedure & diagnostic codes prudent to your visit. You can submit a copy of this form to your insurance company for them to reimburse you directly.
If You are a Medicare Patient: At this time, Medicare does not cover acupuncture services. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept Medicare or Medicaid.

Office Policies

We do not dispense any herbal medicine or supplements to people who are not active patients (meaning you have been seen for treatment within the last year.)

We are available for communication primarily via phone and e-mail. Please do not text, instant message, Facebook, Twitter, or otherwise attempt communication, as these may not be received. We do our best to return phone calls and e-mails within 24 hours. Your patience is appreciated.

Our acupuncturist, Nico Bishop, is available for communication from Monday to Friday with active patients for quick questions that can be answered briefly by phone or by email. Medical issues are best managed by making an appointment and having an in-person consultation.

We do not practice emergency medicine. If you have an emergency, please call 911 or report to your local emergency room. If you have an urgent situation that you think does not require an emergency room visit, and you think Nico Bishop may be able to help, please call. We will do what we can for you, but if your situation worsens or if you do not hear back from us within a time-frame that is appropriate for your situation, please do not hesitate to call 911 or report to your local emergency room.

Patients who show inappropriate conduct, non-or late payment of fees, or safety concerns may be denied service.
